MüTō believes what differentiates a great manager from a good manager is their unwavering ability to handle the unexpected event, negotiate enforceable contracts and mitigate risks, while keeping team members motivated and accountable.

Projects are impacted by many obstacles as they attempt to progress to their goals.  Our 2009 Survey on Obstacles to Project Success provided us with a reaffirmation that the following obstacles are most prevalent in today's projects.

     1. Scope Creep (Same as 2008.)
     2. Challenging Schedule (up from #8 in 2008.)
     3. Resource Challenge
     4. Minimal or Non-Existent Testing
     5. Tardy Delivery of Project Tasks

     6. Delegated Responsibility Unrelated to Authority
     7. Finance Challenge
     8. Invisible Requirements (down from #2 in 2008.)
     9. A Skill Set Challenged Team
     10. The Disappearing Sponsor (down from #3 in 2008.)

We continue to analyze these obstacles for the surest mitigation and remediation solutions.  By the end of November'2009 we will be making are assessments available for public use, as well as providing our analysis in a book form entitled Mitigating The Top 10 Obstacles To Project Success.

If you are currently experiencing  any of these obstacles on your project, feel free to contact us.  We will discuss the situation with you and provide you with potential solutions.

The MüTō MethodTM was developed to enhance critical communication, motivation, and accountability skills. All of our services incorporate these foundational skills.
